We manage a range of licensing solutions that allow copying and sharing of text, images and survey plans subject to fair payment. We refer to these as licence schemes.
There are two sorts of licence schemes: the statutory licence schemes for the education and government sectors, and ‘opt-in’ Copyright Agency Licence Schemes for particular sectors (like media monitoring organisations) or for specific activity (like blanket or pay-per-use).
You can manage your participation in under Licence schemes under your profile in your online account. Your participation is non-exclusive: you can still license your work yourself.
Members who choose not to participate in Copyright Agency Licence Schemes are eligible to receive payments for copying and sharing in the education sector, and copying by the Commonwealth, State and Territory governments.
Rightsholders cannot stop their works being used under the statutory licence scheme for education and government, but can instruct us not to allocate payments to them from those schemes. If you would like to do that, please contact us.
