These are the main columns on your Payment Report:
Distribution (Column A)
- Shows which distribution the payment line comes from. Further details regarding the specific distributions can be found here.
Licence Sector (Column B)
- Shows the type of licence your payment relates to, for example, commercial, Artwork Licence.
Title (Column D)
- Shows the title of the work the payment line relates to. If the payment forms part of an annual distribution, or the usage data has been provided by another collecting society, such as an overseas collecting society it will be listed as Works Available Under Licence.
Payment For (Column F)
- Shows the creator the payment relates to. This is useful if you receive payments for more than one creator (this largely applies to art centres, agents, and estates).
Shares Advised (Column G)
- Shows if payment shares have been provided for the work listed in column D. Note that shares are only applied for books.
- If the value is 'Yes' it means the amount is yours to keep and you have no on-payment obligations
- If the value is 'No' it means that the work is eligible for shares but none have been provided. Publishers may need to on-pay the relevant shares per the contract for the work.
- If the value is 'N/A' it means shares aren't applicable for the work.
Additional Information (Column H)
- Shows further details about who licensed the work. This information is only applicable for Pay-Per-Use (PPU) licences.
