When you receive a payment, a remittance will be generated in your portal.
Your remittance has two components: a PDF file and a CSV spreadsheet:
Remittance (PDF)
This is your Payment Summary, which acts as a receipt and provides an overview of the amount you received, including the gross amount, any tax or deductions applied, and the final amount paid to you. This is the document you can use for tax purposes.
CSV spreadsheet
This document outlines which artworks you received a payment for.
If you collect royalties on behalf of other creators, your CSV report will also show which creator each payment relates to, and the amount allocated to them.
The main columns on this report are as follows:
Artist Name (Column D)
- The name of the artist the royalty relates to (If you collect royalties on behalf of an artist or estate, their name will be listed here).
Payment For (Column E)
- The name of the person or entity the royalty is being paid to.
Artwork Title (Column F)
- The title of the artwork that was resold.
Sold Date (Column G)
- The date the artwork was resold.
Resale Price (Column H)
- The total price the artwork was resold for.
Payment (Column L)
- The amount paid to the rightsholder of the artwork for the resale.
