You can register publications that contain your works, via the Member Portal, if you retain copyright: you didn’t create them as a salaried staff member, and you didn’t assign (transfer) copyright to someone else (e.g. as part of a commissioning agreement).

This information can help us in a number of ways, including with our Annual Writers Distribution and Annual Artists Distribution.

1. Log in to your online account on the Member Portal
2. Check for any publications that we already have linked to you, in two places:
   • ‘Works we found’:  these are publications from usage data from licensees and other sources, where we have information that links them to you (e.g. the publisher has told us that you are entitled to a share of allocations under your publishing contract)
   • ‘Works you registered’: these are publications that you have registered via the Member Portal, but can also include some publications that contain works that we paid you for in the past (e.g. for a journal article, or a poem in an anthology)
3. To register new publications:
   • Select the 'Works' menu
   • Select the ‘Register new work’ button above your Works table
   • Select ‘Text’ or ‘Image’
   • Enter the requested information

Once saved, you can open and edit works at any time
