I want to license multiple images, do I have to submit them all in separate requests? You can license multiple images in the same request, as long as all of the images relate to the same project. If they are related to different projects, the images will need to be submitted in separate requests. If they are in the same request, keep adding all relevant artworks to your basket, then select proceed to continue your request as one single request.
The artwork doesn’t show up when I search, why do I just see a grey copyright logo? The artwork tile will only show if we hold a high-res copy of the image for purchase. While our image bank holds several thousand images, it is still limited and if we do not hold a high-res copy, next to the image will be a grey copyright logo. We can still assist with licensing this image for you, we just cannot assist providing a copy of the image.
How do I purchase an image? If you would like to purchase an image, you have two options in our portal. Firstly, register/log in. On the Licensing homepage, enter the artist name and the artwork title you would like to purchase and select the work as it appears in the dropdown menu, then add this to your basket. Or, go to the Image Bank homepage and search for the artwork, then select it to view it. You can then add it directly to your basket by selecting the basket icon in the top right corner of the screen.
When I buy an image do I just have to pay for the file? No, we are unable to just sell you a high-res image file. You must first license the image from us, and we can sell you the image file along with the reproduction licence. Our standard fee for a high-res image is $150 + GST.
How do I pay for my licence/image? By default, once your request is approved, you will be prompted to pay by credit card via Stripe. If you would prefer to receive a tax invoice for payment instead, please email the staff member that has been assisting you or else email visualarts@copyright.com.au for assistance.
The product type I want doesn’t show in the dropdown, what do I do? We have tried to provide as many product categories as possible, each product category has subcategories, so please ensure that you have checked all available options to view the subcategories. If you still cannot find the product type that is relevant to you, please select Other and then add as much relevant information as possible in the Other Important Information field.
When I select Proceed to submit my request, why won't it let me proceed? Ensure that all the fields with the red asterisk have been filled as these are required fields. I am not getting a price in my request just a TBA, what does this mean? We cannot supply a default price for every request, if your request shows a TBA in the price field, this means we need to review what you have submitted and potentially reach out to you to confirm additional information.
I have received an approved email, what do I do now? This means your request has been approved and your licence is ready. You can click on the link in the email to access your request or go to the portal and log into your account to access your request. Your request will either be pending payment by credit card, or available pending payment via invoice payment.
I have received a rejection email, what does this mean? This means we unfortunately have had to reject your request. The reason should be noted in the email you received, and will also be listed in the specific request in your account.

I’m trying to create an account, why isn't my country showing in the address option? We can only assist with copyright licensing for customers based in Australia and New Zealand. If you are based in a country outside of those two, you will need to reach out to one of our sister societies to assist you with licensing.
