Once a private education provider has issued a remuneration notice to Copyright Agency, and has a remuneration agreement in place, to access the Statutory Education Licence they are required to submit an annual Licence Update.
Copyright Agency reaches out to private education providers via email in February and March of every year to request updated figures as part of this annual Licence Update.
Each organisation will usually have a three week window to submit their figures via the RightsPortal. Please ensure that your organisation has your student numbers or gross receipts ready for prompt submission at this time every year.
Once your figures are submitted, you will receive the invoice to cover your organisation’s use of the Statutory Education Licence for that calendar year.
Note: This applies to individually licensed private education providers (i.e. generally not universities, TAFEs or schools licensed under separate blanket agreements).
